Celtics 88, Hawks 85

ATLANTA — Kevin Garnett scored 10 of his 18 points in the final quarter, and Atlanta’s Joe Johnson missed a late free throw that would have tied it, helping Boston win its 16th straight. After Johnson missed, Ray Allen added a pair of free throws with 2.7 seconds left for the defending NBA champion Celtics, who have a franchise-best 23-2 record. It was only the second loss in 10 home games for the Hawks. Pierce added 18 points, and Allen had 16 for the Celtics. Johnson led Atlanta with 20 points, 10 in the final period.

76ers 93, Bucks 88

PHILADELPHIA — Lou Williams matched his career high with 25 points, Andre Miller added 19 and the 76ers overcame the loss of forward Elton Brand. Brand dislocated his right shoulder with 7:23 left in the third quarter after landing on Milwaukee’s Luc Mbah a Moute. Marreese Speights added 12 points, and Thaddeus Young had 10 to help the Sixers improve to 11-14 overall and 2-0 under interim coach Tony DiLeo. DiLeo replaced the fired Maurice Cheeks on Saturday. Luke Ridnour and Charlie Bell scored 14 points each for Milwaukee.

Mavericks 96, Raptors 86

TORONTO — Dirk Nowitzki had 27 points and 10 rebounds, and Jason Terry also scored 27 points in the Mavericks’ victory. Josh Howard added 20 points for Dallas in his first start since Nov. 18. Howard, who came off the bench Monday night in a loss to Denver after missing 11 games because of a sprained ankle, scored Dallas’ first nine points and had 11 in the first quarter. Jermaine O’Neal had 19 points for Toronto.

Pacers 127, Warriors 120

INDIANAPOLIS — Danny Granger scored 17 of his 41 points in the fourth quarter to help the Pacers win their second straight. Granger also had 11 rebounds and six assists, and made all 17 of his free throws. Jarrett Jack scored 24 points, Marquis Daniels added 23, and rookie Brandon Rush had 10 points and 11 rebounds in his second career start for Indiana. Jamal Crawford scored 29 points, Marco Belinelli had a career-high 21 points, and Andris Biedrins had 16 points and 10 rebounds for Golden State.

Jazz 103, Nets 92

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — Deron Williams had 17 points and 11 assists, and the Jazz overcame a seven-point first quarter and a 22-point deficit to beat the Nets. Mehmet Okur had 23 points and nine rebounds for the Jazz, who snapped a two-game losing streak and improved to 1-1 on a five-game road trip. They played starting forward Carlos Boozer for the 15th straight game because of a strained left quadriceps, then lost coach Jerry Sloan after he picked up two technical fouls 33 seconds apart early in the fourth quarter. Paul Millsap added 18 points and 12 rebounds in his 13th straight double-double for the Jazz, who made only three field goals during one of the worst quarters in franchise history. Williams had only one point during 10 minutes on the floor in the period, then watched the second while the Jazz began chipping away without him. Vince Carter scored 32 points for the Nets.

Pistons 88, Wizards 74

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. — Allen Iverson scored 28 points to lead the Detroit Pistons to their third straight victory. Rodney Stuckey added 18 points and matched his career high with 11 assists for the Pistons, who went on a 12-3 run midway through the fourth quarter after the Wizards had pulled to 63-62. Detroit allowed only three field goals in the final 9 minutes.
