Feds indict three in credit union heist


CLEVELAND — A federal grand jury has indicted a woman and two men in connection with an attempted carjacking and the armed robbery of Cavalier Credit Union in Lordstown a month ago.

Indicted Wednesday in U.S. District Court were:

• Reginald Cherry, 23, of Delaware Avenue, Warren. He is charged with armed bank robbery, car jacking and the use of a firearm during a crime of violence. He remains in federal custody pending trial.

• Ro’Ceme Jethrow, 28, of state Route 46 in Cortland. Same.

• Natasa Weekley, 29, of Warren. She is charged with carjacking and has been released on $50,000 unsecured bond.

The alleged crimes took place Nov. 19, beginning with failed carjackings in Austintown, Lake Milton and Bazetta and ending with the robbery. Another suspect, Donnell Weekley, 25, of Hall Avenue Northwest, Warren, committed suicide in Youngstown later that day.

Records show $4,047 was taken from the credit union.
