Boil-water advisory issued for parts of the city of Columbiana

COLUMBIANA — The city has issued a boil advisory for water customers on South Main Street from the Norfolk Southern railroad tracks to Southern Avenue.

The area also will include Hyland Court.

Jay Groner, the city’s service director, said a waterline broke this morning and was shut off about 1:30 p.m. today.

Repairs are being made, but the boil advisory will probably continue through the weekend, he said.
