Dec. 13

Theft: A boy, 15, and a man, 22, both of Youngstown, were charged. They were accused of taking more than $1,200 worth of clothing from Macy’s in the Southern Park Mall.

Theft: Three women were thought to have stolen $510 worth of clothing from Burlington Coat Factory, 529 Boardman-Canfield Road.

Possible theft: A suspicious man fled Office Max, 427 Boardman-Poland Road, setting off an electronic sensor.

Theft: A 26-year-old township man surrendered to police on a warrant. Earlier, two Trotter Drive residents reported the theft of Sony PlayStation 3 games and a DVD.

Domestic violence: A 28-year-old Maple Drive man was taken into custody at his residence and charged after a situation in which a female family member sustained an injury to the right side of her nose.

Drugs: A Boardman woman, 48, faced two counts of possession of drugs and one count each of possession of drug paraphernalia and operating a vehicle impaired as police investigated a vehicular crash on U.S. Route 224. A search of her car turned up a box containing a bag of suspected marijuana; also found were papers to roll marijuana, and a pill bottle with four types of pills, police said.

Theft: Two 14-year-old Youngstown boys were charged in the theft of $258 worth of clothing from Macy’s in the Southern Park Mall.

Theft: A 23-year-old Southington woman was accused of stealing items from Sears in the Southern Park Mall and charged.

Theft: A $3,000 medical calibration tool was stolen from Mahoning Valley Imaging, 7067 Tiffany Blvd.

Criminal damaging: A Saddlebrook Drive woman discovered damage to two Christmas decorations.

Theft: The owner of a vehicle in the 400 block of Annawan Lane told authorities he saw someone flee from his car. Stolen was a $175 camera.

Criminal damaging: A car in the 400 block of Mathews Road had a front tire slashed and its windshield cracked.

Theft: A temporary license plate was removed from a vehicle in the 6900 block of South Avenue.

Criminal damaging: A Meadow Lane man noticed damage to two Christmas ornaments.

Criminal mischief: An Aravesta Avenue man said someone tossed eggs at his apartment door.

Criminal damaging: A vehicle in the 7500 block of Huntington Drive had its rear windshield and a rear taillight smashed.

Dec. 14

Drugs: A Columbiana man, 20, was arrested in the 7500 block of Market Street on charges of possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia when, police said, suspected marijuana and a suspected marijuana pipe were found during a traffic stop.

Breaking and entering: A worker with a Southern Park Mall kiosk discovered it had been entered, and that a cash drawer was missing.

Burglary/assaults: A man visiting his girlfriend at her Carter Circle apartment told police her former boyfriend entered without permission, grabbed the accuser by the neck and tossed him from the residence. The woman alleged he punched her in the stomach and choked her.

Arrest: Boardman police, working with the Mahoning County Operating a Vehicle Impaired Task Force, arrested a 25-year-old Youngstown man near Glenwood Avenue and charged him with resisting arrest and obstructing official business after investigating a woman’s screams from a vehicle. He fled on foot and police had to use a Taser on the man, who was wanted on several warrants, the report showed.

Theft: A Youngstown man, 43, surrendered to authorities on a theft count after a cell phone had been stolen from Alltel Wireless, 474 Boardman-Canfield Road.

Misuse of a credit card: An Enon Valley, Pa., man found that unauthorized purchases had been made with his bank card at two township stores.

Criminal damaging: A Westfield Drive woman discovered damage to her mailbox.

Theft: A Struthers woman reported her wallet stolen while at the Southern Park Mall.

Theft: Five boxes of candy were stolen from Gorant Candies, 6999 Market St.

Identity theft: A Stadler Avenue woman found three unauthorized transactions to her checking account that totaled $2,761.

Theft: A Youngstown woman, 32, was charged, accused of taking six items, including bottled water and candy, from Wal-Mart, 1300 Doral Drive.

Theft: Ten 55-gallon steel barrels and two tour-bus evaporators were stolen from a bus garage belonging to Sutton’s Motor Coach Tours & Travel, 7338 Southern Blvd.

Theft: A Melrose Avenue woman suspected her former boyfriend of stealing her mail, and the woman told police she found several items in her home had been misplaced.

Theft: The owner of a Boardman-Poland Road doctor’s office reported 10 eyeglass frames missing.

Theft: A Struthers man’s wallet was taken as he shopped at a Doral Drive store.

Identity theft: A Paxton Road woman noticed two online accounts had been opened in her name without authorization.

Possible theft: A woman reported her son’s wallet lost or stolen at Boardman High School, 7777 Glenwood Ave.

Burglary: A Brainard Drive woman came home to find her rear door ajar and discovered a diamond necklace and a 40-piece set of silver flatware missing. The theft came to about $6,200.

Drugs: Officers cited a Canfield woman, 19, in the 6200 block of Market Street after saying they found suspected marijuana.
