MERCER, Pa. — Pennsylvania State Police are still investigating a three-car accident that took the life of a 29-year-old Hadley man.

Police reports say Jason Spencer, 29, of Fredonia Road, was pronounced dead at the scene of an accident on Highway 773 less than 1,000 feet from Highway 740 in Perry Township on Saturday.

Reports say Spencer stopped to help a stranded motorist but was pinned between his 2006 Jeep Wrangler and the 1991 Pontiac of the person he stopped to assist. Spencer, reports say, was pinned between the two cars after a third car crested a nearby hill and struck his vehicle.
