Howland board OKs insurance coverage for ’09 academic year
HOWLAND — Township school board members approved big-budget items in advance of the 2009 academic year, including insurance coverage and providing salaries for several nonfaculty positions for the district.
Board members met this evening at Howland High School to approve property, liability, vehicle and flood coverage with the Ohio Casualty and First Place insurance providers.
District Treasurer Thomas Krispinsky said the insurance will cost the district $63,688 for the 2009 calendar year.
Additional funds were dedicated to various nonfaculty positions in the district as well.
