YOUNGSTOWN — Turning Technologies has been chosen as the recipient of the 2008 Tech & Learning Awards of Excellence for its interactive student response software, TurningPoint 2008. Turning Technologies’ flagship product, TurningPoint, creates a wireless student response system that engages students and increases interaction and student comprehension. Technology and Learning, a leading educational innovation publication, selects the award recipients by evaluating products that are “innovative applications that break new ground as well as those that demonstrate clear superiority over similar products in the market.”

CANFIELD — Senior Independence of the Mahoning Valley has been named to the HomeCare Elite, a listing of the most successful home-care agencies in the United States. This annual review identifies the top 25 percent of agencies, ranked by an analysis of performance measures in quality outcomes, quality improvement and financial performance. The HomeCare Elite list is produced by Outcome Concept Systems, a provider of health-care information and data, and DecisionHealth, publisher of the independent newsletter Home Health.
