Lesigonich 60th is marked with family at dinner

• BOARDMAN — Peggy and Paul Lesigonich of Boardman, who were married on Sept. 18, 1948, at the Villa Maria Chapel in Villa Maria, Pa., celebrated their 60th anniversary at Harry and Jean’s Restaurant in Canfield.

The celebration included their children, Joyce Padavick of Chagrin Falls, Paul Lesigonich of Boardman, Peggy and Chris Smith of Milan, and Debbie and T.J. Campana of Struthers. Grandchildren attending included Bobby, Brad and Julie Padavick; Paul and Bridget Lesigonich; John, Greg and Melissa Smith; and Ty, Brooke, Candace and Dalton Campana.

Mr. Lesigonich was part owner of Baxter Furnace Co. for many years and was in the union locals 5 and 33. He served in the U.S. Army in officers’ high headquarters. He played in the Army Band, and the baseball team he was a member of won the championship.

Mrs. Lesigonich was a supervisor at Plaza Maintenance. She also is retired from Giant Eagle, where she worked in the bakery, and Sam’s Club, where she was a demo representative.

The couple were honored with a gift of a trip of their choice from their children, which they will take at a later time.
