First Place bank in Brookfield robbed


BROOKFIELD — A lone robber took money from First Place Bank branch on Warren-Sharon Road around 11:30 a.m. Saturday, the Brookfield Police Department says.

Police Chief Dan Faustino said the man handed a teller a note, which mentioned a gun, but no one in the bank saw a weapon.

The teller handed over money from her drawer.

The man, described as being in his mid-20s about 5 feet, 9 inches with a thin build and splotchy facial hair, wearing a white hoodie with the number 37 on the left front, baggy jeans and dark tennis shoes. Witnesses said he took the small amount of cash and fled in a dark-colored car. No one was hurt.
