BOARDMAN — The youth center at Bethel Lutheran Church, 425 Crestview Drive, will have a Christmas party open to all area children from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday. Food collection planned
YOUNGSTOWN — The staff of the Youngstown Bureau of Vocational Rehabilitation/Bureau of Services for the Visually Impaired will conduct a food collection Monday through Friday for Second Harvest Food Bank of Mahoning Valley. Only nonperishable food items will be accepted, and the items can be dropped off at the Youngstown BVR/BSVI office on the fourth floor of the George Voinovich Building on West Federal Street downtown. Dinner with Santa
YOUNGSTOWN — Youngstown Community Food Center & Gleaners Food Bank will have its 16th annual Christmas dinner with Santa from noon to 1 p.m. Christmas Day at St. Patrick Church Hall, 1410 Oak Hill Ave. Free dinner will be available for anyone in need. Santa will arrive at 12:45 p.m. with gifts for everyone.
Vacation child care
YOUNGSTOWN — Associated Neighborhood Centers is offering child care for school-age children from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 22, 23, 29 and 30 at McGuffey Centre, 1649 Jacobs Road. The fee is $35 per day and includes breakfast, lunch and snack.

Evening museum hours
YOUNGSTOWN — The Arms Family Museum of Local History, 648 Wick Ave., will have extended hours from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday so guests can enjoy the evening glow of the holiday decorations. Rooms are decked with historical Christmas trees, toys and vintage decor. Regular museum hours are 1 to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. Tours are $4 for adults; $3 for senior citizens; and $2 for children under 18. Children 3 and under get in free. Decorations will be on display throughout this month.
