Annual Deer Expo at Leetonia Sportsmen’s

LEETONIA — The Leetonia Sportsmen’s Club is hosting its annual Deer Expo from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday at 311 E. High St.

Admission to the expo is free for those ages 15 and under if accompanied by an adult. Tickets for adults are $3 without a deer and $1 with an antlered deer.

The expo will feature numerous door prize drawings and scorers from Pope & Young and Buckeye Big Bucks Club who will score racks. Trophies will be awarded for the largest rack in men, women and youth categories.

A breakfast and lunch will also be provided during the following times: breakfast, 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.; and lunch, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information, call (330) 332-4052 or (330) 822-0100.

Winter gun show set at Lowellville Rod & Gun

LOWELLVILLE — The Mahoning Valley Gun Collectors will have a gun show Dec. 27-28 at the Lowellville Rod & Gun Club on Quarry Road.

Admission is $4. Exhibitor tables are available for $30 for both days or $20 for one day. MVGC members may rent tables for $25 for both days or $15 for one day. For more information, call (330) 506-9194.

Deer-gun season results

COLUMBUS — Ohio hunters took 116,798 white-tailed deer during the state’s popular, weeklong deer-gun season, which ran Dec. 1 through Sunday, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources Division of Wildlife.
