Raiders subdue United by 60-58

NORTH LIMA — The South range High basketball team outscored United 34-23 in Friday’s second half to post a 60-58 victory.
The Raiders (2-0) trailed 30-26 at halftime in the Inter Tri-County League Tier One game.
Jack Dawson and Joe Mihlan dominated the boards with 10 rebounds apiece, and Mihlan’s 21 points led all scorers.
Mike Chuey added 12 points, Peter Dinh four and Dawson two. Kyle Seaver came off the bench and scored 19.
South Range struggled from the foul line (10-for-18) but were able to make their shots when needed.
The Golden Eagles (0-2) went 12-for-14 from the free throw line, and the two misses ended up being the difference-maker. Jason Ramus led his team with 18 points, including nine coming from 3-point range.
Zack Taylor finished with 17 points, while Zack Lease had eight, Jeremy Walker four and Taylor Phillips seven. Ryan Powell added four from the bench.
Springfield 54, Crestview 38
NEW MIDDLETOWN — The Tigers (2-1, 1-0 ITCL1) , tied 11-11 after the first quarter, pulled away with a 15-6 surge in the second period for a 26-17 halftime lead. Todd Kibby took scoring honors with 21 points. Eric Lipp grabbed nine rebounds.
Jakob Leon and Carter Hill led the Rebels (1-1, 0-1) with 10 points apiece.
East Palestine 59, Lisbon 49
EAST PALESTINE — The Bulldogs (3-0, 1-0 ITCL1) defense allowed only 10 points in the first half as it built a 32-10 lead. The balanced attack was triggered by Ben Gysin with 17 points, while Austin Cope connted for 13 and Chad Campagna had 12. Matt Greene pulled won 12 rebounds and Gysin 10.
Todd Padureane paced the Blue Devils (1-3, 0-1) with 19 points.
Wellsville 84, Lowellville 52
WELLSVILLE — The unbeaten Tigers (2-0, 1-0 ITCL2) rushed out to a 25-6 lead in the first quarter and they were 45-21 at intermission. Mike Johnston scored 28 points, Nunzio Lombardozi had 21 and Jalen Presarro 10 for Wellsville.
Anthony Schiraldi paced the Rockets (1-1, 0-1) with 12 points. Mike Basists grabbed five rebounds.
Southern 78, Jackson-Milton 51
SALINEVILLE — The Indians’ (2-1, 1-0 ITCL2) balanced scoring attack put them into a commanding 55-25 lead at the end of the third quarter. Trey Griffith, Ethan Blatch, Rico Jones, Eric Baker and Jake Boyle scored 19, 13, 11, 11 and 10 points respectively. Griffith pulled down seven rebounds and had seven assists
Jacob Carlile and Ben Carlile led the Bluejays (0-1 ITCL) with 18 and 13 points.
