CHECKING IN: As the result of weekly cruises at Joe Sylvester’s Shepherd Self Storage of Boardman, and support from Sean Pregibon’s Youngstown Sports Grille and other sponsors, the Valley Cruzers presented a check in the amount of $6,500 to the Touched by Nathan Foundation during a dinner Nov. 23. at the sports grille. Participating in the presentation are, from left, Lee Owen, V.C. president; Jerry Kolesar, treasurer; Nathan’s parents, Ken Pavalko, his son, Marty, and his wife, Vicki; and Santo Reda, V.C. vice president. A donation of $250 was also made to the Rachael Widomski Medical Fund. Since its inception nine years ago, the 11-member club, with the help of members’ wives, has donated $50,000 to area charities.
