PHILADELPHIA — Scott Hartnell had a hat trick and Philadelphia staged its biggest comeback in 20 years by erasing a four-goal deficit in the third period. Hartnell scored twice in the third period to complete his fourth NHL hat trick. Scottie Upshall made it 5-4, and Simon Gagne tied it with 1:44 left in regulation.

Lightning 3, Canadiens 1

MONTREAL — Martin St. Louis scored twice, Vincent Lecavalier had a goal and an assist, and Tampa Bay ended its nine-game losing streak. Olaf Kolzig made 31 saves for Tampa Bay, which was 0-7-2 since beating Nashville 4-1 on Nov. 21, the Lightning’s only other win in 16 games. Patrice Brisebois scored a power-play goal early in the first for Montreal.

Blue Jackets 2, Predators 1, SO

COLUMBUS — Jake Voracek scored the decisive goal in the shootout and Steve Mason stopped 25 shots through overtime to give Columbus a victory over Nashville. In the second round of the shootout, Columbus’ Rick Nash and Nashville’s Vernon Fiddler scored. Martin Erat’s forehand shot clinched the win and snapped the Blue Jackets’ three-game skid. It was the third loss in a row for the Predators.
