8 held for Pittsburgh-area Internet prostitution

PITTSBURGH (AP) — Police in Pittsburgh and nearby suburbs say they’ve arrested eight people in an Internet prostitution investigation.

Police are not identifying any of the suspects, but say the investigation is continuing and more charges are possible.

Police in the suburbs of Green Tree, Moon Township, Coraopolis (kor-ee-AH’-poh-lis) and Carnegie are also involved.

The undercover investigations are targeting prostitution services being offered through Craigslist, Indys.com, and a site run by the City Paper, an alternative entertainment weekly.
