Victorian Holiday stroll features several stops


WARREN — Victorian Holiday, the annual stroll along the Millionaires Row section of Mahoning Avenue in downtown Warren, will be Sunday from noon to 6 p.m..

The five featured sites are:

UThe Perkins Mansion, home of Warren City Hall, which will be decorated for the holiday season compliments of Adgate and Son Florists.

UThe first floor of the John Stark Edwards House, which will be decorated courtesy of Why Not Florists of Champion.

UThe Upton House, which will showcase a collection of Victorian dolls.

UThe Sutliff Museum, which is on the second floor of the Warren-Trumbull County Public Library, which will have an exhibit of nutcrackers on display.

UThe Kinsman House, which will have displays in several rooms, including three dollhouses, a New England saltbox, a Western Reserve settlement log cabin and a replica of historic Brownwood in North Bloomfield. All are furnished with miniature reproductions for the time periods they represent. Other displays include unique scroll saw tree ornaments which will be available for purchase; a collection of snow babies; Victorian furniture; and a tree filled with quilted ornaments, also available for sale.

Artisans from the Trumbull Art Gallery will conducting demonstrations for making holiday ornaments at the Land Title Office, home of the Trumbull County Tourism Bureau. Handcrafted jewelry and other items from the TAG gift shop will be available for purchase.

Tickets for the walking tour are $5 per person and can be bought the day of the event from any of the sites included on the tour. The admission fee allows access to all sites, which can be visited in any order. Children ages 12 and under are free. Tickets can also be bought in advance at the Trumbull County Tourism Bureau, 321 Mahoning Ave. N.W.

This year’s Victorian Holiday Walk is a collaborative effort of the Trumbull County Historical Society, the Upton Association, the Sutliff Museum, Warren City Hall and the Trumbull County Tourism Bureau.
