State Police in Mercer looking for woman armed robber

JAMESTOWN, Pa. — State police in Mercer are looking for a woman who robbed Shawkey’s Market on Liberty Street.

Police said the woman entered the store around 8 p.m. Wednesday and showed the clerk a large semiautomatic pistol.

She pointed the gun in the clerk’s face, they said.

After getting an undetermined amount of cash, the robber fled down an alley.

The suspect is described as white and in her late teens or early 20s, about 5 feet tall and with a heavy build. Anyone who has information about the robbery or a suspect can call the state police at (724) 662-6162.
