WHAT’S UP? BUTTON UP! Help Hotline Crisis Center Inc., WYTV Channel 33 and LaFrance Dry Cleaners have once again teamed up for Button UP!, which began Nov. 13 and will run till Jan. 30. Button UP! is the collection of new or gently worn coats to help those in need. New program partners this year are Shepherd Self-Storage and Union Counselors. Coats can be dropped off at one of the five LaFrance sites in Boardman, Canfield, Liberty, Poland or Youngstown, or at Shepherd Self-Storage on South Avenue. LaFrance is dry-cleaning the donated coats for free and will give a $1 off coupon when a coat is dropped off there for donation. Participants in the program are, from left, Stephen Weiss of LaFrance, Anna Masi of Help Hotline Crisis Center and the 2008 Button UP! coordinator, Edie Nesbitt of Shepherd Self-Storage and Gary Marinelli of Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 396.
