Boardman has a new planning and zoning director
BOARDMAN — The township named a municipal planner from Franklin, Pa. as its new planning and zoning director.
Benjamin J. Breniman will earn a $53,000 annual salary, get up to $2,000 in moving expenses, pay a 10 percent health care contribution and get one week’s vacation after six months.
Trustees interviewed several people for the zoning position and narrowed it to two finalists: Breniman and Mark C. O’Brien, a former county planning director in Morgantown, W.Va.
They selected Breniman at a meeting this week.
Darren Crivelli, the township’s former zoning inspector, who earned about $53,610 annually, left in early September to become Austintown’s zoning inspector.
Breniman has been a shared municipal services planner in Venango County, Franklin, Pa., since 2007. He worked as planner/community development director in Hempfield Township, Pa. from 2006 to 2007.
