AmericanChurch to relocate
STAFF REPORT
BOARDMAN — AmericanChurch Inc., a manufacturer of church-offering envelopes and stationery, has bought a manufacturing plant on McClurg Road and intends to move its operation there early next spring.
The purchase price was $1.73 million, according to records at the Mahoning County Auditor’s Office.
The company employs between 75 and 80 people in its current leased facilities at 8401 Southern Blvd., said Kyle Hamilton, president and chief executive.
“We are pleased to announce the purchase of the 525 McClurg Road property. This 40,000-square-foot facility is ideal for our business and will give us the space we need to grow as well as expand the facility in the future if necessary,” he said.
Bill Kutlick of Kutlick Realty said the sale was one of six deals his company helped arrange lately. The activity shows that the commercial real estate market locally has life and that companies are willing to invest in the area, he said.
AmericanChurch products are distributed primarily in the United States. The company serves all religious denominations and faith groups.
Its new location was last used as a light manufacturing facility, Hamilton said, noting that the new operation should be fully operational by the end of March.
J&N Products, which had been located at 525 McClurg Road, is moving to Eastgate Industrial Drive in Beaver Township, near the Ohio Turnpike interchange.
Kutlick Realty arranged the sale of the McClurg Road property and assisted J&N moving to a small industrial park being developed by Sylvester Construction.
J&N produces plastic parts that are used in window and door products.
The other deals arranged by Kutlick include a new office for The Cleveland Clinic at 3736 Boardman-Canfield Road. It will occupy the entire first floor of the building. The location will house medical offices and offer rehabilitation and post-operation services.
Another deal has IDEXX Laboratories leasing space at 945 Boardman-Canfield Road for a laboratory for veterinary tests. The Maine-based company operates 60 labs and chose Boardman to serve the region between Cleveland and Pittsburgh.
Also, Kutlick leased office space at 8170 South Ave. to Gentiva Health Services. The New York-based company operates 380 locations in 39 states.
Kutlick also arranged for chiropractors Jeffrey Stychno and Michael Frasca to relocate their practice to The Market Place on East Market Street in Warren.
