No. 23 Davidson 68, West Virginia 65

NEW YORK — Stephen Curry scored 13 of Davidson’s final 15 points, helping the Wildcats beat West Virginia in the Jimmy V Classic. Curry made his final three shots from behind the arc. The last of those 3s gave the Wildcats (7-1) the lead for good at 64-62 with 39 seconds to play. He finished with 27 points, 4.3 below his average, on 9-of-27 shooting. Playing without second-leading scorer Alex Ruoff, the Mountaineers (6-2) got a career-high 24 points and 14 rebounds from Da’Sean Butler. Devin Ebanks added 13 points and 17 rebounds.

No. 14 Purdue 68, Ball St. 39

MUNCIE, Ind. — Robbie Hummel had 15 points and nine rebounds to lead Purdue, after sitting out Saturday’s win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff due to back spasms. JaJuan Johnson scored 12 points and E’Twaun Moore and Nemanja Calasan added 10 points for the Boilermakers (7-2). Anthony Newell led Ball State (4-4) with 11 points and eight rebounds.

WOMEN

No. 15 Maryland 83, Loyola, Md. 52

BALTIMORE — Marissa Coleman had 19 points and 13 rebounds and Demauria Liles added 17 points for Maryland. Lynetta Kizer added 15 points and 10 rebounds, helping the Terrapins (8-2) win their ninth straight over the Greyhounds (6-3). Loyola, which had a five-game winning streak snapped, got 12 points apiece from Kaitlin Grant and Meredith Tolley.

No. 25 Kansas State 64, Creighton 55

MANHATTAN, Kan. — Ashley Sweat scored 16 of her 20 points in the second half to lead the Wildcats, who trailed by as many as 11 early in the game. Marlies Gipson scored 14 points and blocked a season-high five shots, and Kari Kincaid had 10 points for the Wildcats (8-0). Chevelle Herring led Creighton (2-5) with 23 points. Kelsey Woodward added 15.
