STAFF REPORT

GIRARD — Police are still looking for information on a two-car pedestrian accident that took the life of a local man crossing a city street.

Christopher DiVincenzo, 37, of Girard was struck by two vehicles and killed while crossing South State Street at the intersection of Abbey Street at 11 p.m. Monday, Girard police said.

He was pronounced dead a short time later at St. Elizabeth Health Center. It is not clear where DiVincenzo was heading when the accident occurred, police added.

The first car to strike DiVincenzo stopped, and no charges have been filed against the driver. The second vehicle believed to have struck DiVincenzo did not stop.

The second vehicle is described as small and white, possibly driven by a female driver, and likely does not have any damage, police said.
