Misuse of a credit card: An Orlo Lane man discovered $205 worth of unauthorized purchases had been made via his account.
Theft: Police charged a 23-year-old Youngstown man with theft after seven compact discs valued at a total of $97 were stolen from Best Buy, 561 Boardman-Poland Road. He also was wanted on a warrant from Liberty charging him with theft.
Stolen property: A 25-year-old Girard woman was booked at the Mahoning County Jail on charges of receiving stolen property and misuse of a credit card. Earlier, an Afton Avenue man discovered his debit card had been stolen and used at a township automated teller machine to withdraw a total of $385 on two occasions.
Assault: A woman in an argument at an Afton Avenue home reported another woman pulled her hair and struck her. The accused said she was hit in the head first.
Theft by deception: A Farrell, Pa., man went to a Market Street bank and discovered that an account a deceased relative had left him was overdrawn and emptied.
Criminal mischief: A Mayflower Drive man reported $200 worth of damage to a lamp post.
Bad check: A woman wrote a bad $372.73 check at Sports & Gifts in the Southern Park Mall.
Burglary: Someone kicked in the front door to and entered a vacant home in the 400 block of Mathews Road.
Fraud: A Boardman-Canfield Road man told officers he received a letter claiming he had won $450,000 as part of a lottery and that the note came with a $4,950 check. The man also said a woman over the phone told him he needed to send $4,700 to someone in Canada, but that he later found out the check was no good.

Burglary: A man discovered someone had entered his Boardman-Canfield Road apartment and took a flat-panel TV.
Auto theft: A man reported his 1990 Dodge Dakota missing while in the 2000 block of Wolosyn Circle.
Misuse of credit cards: A Best Buy worker told authorities two men bought about $13,000 worth of laptop computers and other merchandise by using phony credit cards.
Theft: Police charged a 16-year-old Ravenna boy with theft for taking a $10 pair of undergarments from Spencer Gifts in the Southern Park Mall.
Drugs: Police cited two 17-year-old Boardman boys after saying they had suspected marijuana while at a Boardman-Canfield Road eatery.
Theft: A township man’s wallet was stolen at a Boardman-Poland Road gas station.
Criminal damaging: A man in the 1700 block of Alverne Drive saw that someone used a car to run over his mailbox.
Arrest: Authorities responded to a possible underage-drinking party at a Tiffany Boulevard motel, where they charged an 18-year-old North Jackson man with underage possession of alcohol and resisting arrest. The teen refused to cooperate, the report said.

Theft: A Youngstown woman’s purse was stolen from her shopping cart at a Doral Drive store.
Theft: A Reserve Drive man discovered an insurance card and vehicle registration missing from his car.
Thefts: Two Reserve Drive residents reported that a registration manual and other property had been taken from their vehicles.
Theft: A Lost Tree Drive man reported a checkbook and car phone charger missing from his car.
Theft: A Saddlebrook Drive man told police an MP3 player adapter and miscellaneous change had been removed from his vehicle.

Theft/drugs: After nearly $500 worth of merchandise was stolen from Sears in the Southern Park Mall, a Youngstown man, 38, was charged with theft and complicity to theft; a woman, 44, also of Youngstown, faced charges of theft and possession of drugs when, police said, three pills were found.
Counterfeit: A fake $20 bill was used to buy items at Dollar General, 859 E. Midlothian Blvd.
Criminal damaging: Officers picked up a Boardman man, 25, in Youngstown. He was wanted on a criminal-damaging charge after being accused of placing two dents in drywall and causing other damage at Seven Seventeen Credit Union, 7371 California Ave.
Burglary: Someone broke a door window to a home in the 1300 block of Pioneer Drive before removing a 42-inch plasma flat-screen TV and a Nintendo game system. The loss came to about $2,450.
Theft: An employee with Party Max, 445 Boardman-Poland Road, discovered an undisclosed amount of money missing after four deposits had never made it to the bank.
Theft: A Youngstown girl, 17, was accused in the theft of a $22 pair of jeans from Wal-Mart, 1300 Doral Drive.
Theft: Four CDs were stolen from Best Buy, resulting in a theft charge against a 17-year-old Struthers girl.
Theft: A woman noticed a $500, three-piece jewelry set missing from her Market Street apartment.
