Man charged in body-dragging case
YOUNGSTOWN — A summons has been issued to the man detectives believe drove away with a body underneath his vehicle. Bryce D. Burke, 26, of Merceds Place, Canfield is due in municipal court for arraignment on Tuesday, said Capt. Kenneth Centorame, chief of detectives. Burke is charged with failure to stop after an accident, a felony. Centorame said Detective Sgts. John Kelty and Patrick Kelly talked to lot of people and recovered lot of evidence that led to Burke. On Nov. 29, a man in the drive-through at McDonald’s at South Avenue and Midlothian Boulevard called 911 and told the police there was a body under the car in front of him. By the time police arrived, the car had fled, but the body was found in the westbound lane of Midlothian near Euclid Boulevard, two blocks from the McDonald’s. The Mahoning County Coroner’s office identified the victim as Andrew Culp, 22, of North Main Street, Columbiana.
