• CORTLAND — Stephanie Marie Skaggs and Thomas Allan Buck were united in marriage at 2:30 p.m. July 26 at Bazetta Christian Church. Pastor Paul Leone officiated at the ceremony.

A reception at Squaw Creek Country Club in Vienna honored the daughter of Afonda Chojnacki of Cortland and the late Steven Skaggs, and the son of Thomas and Judy Buck of Canfield.

The bride, who was escorted by her brothers, Allen and Philip Skaggs, wore a strapless white gown with a sweetheart neckline. It was enhanced with beading and featured three rows of pleated taffeta and organza at the hemline.

Carrie Skaggs, her sister-in-law, attended the bride as matron of honor, and bridesmaids were Susan Clark, a sister of the groom; and Danielle Schmidt. Junior bridesmaid was Emily Van Zeeland, the bride’s step-niece, and flower girls were the groom’s nieces, Caitlyn and Ashley Clark. They wore dusty blue gowns.

Best man was John Chismar, and groomsmen were Mark McDonough and Ryan Mills. Ring bearer was Thomas Van Zeeland, the bride’s step-nephew.

The bride earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Kent State University. The groom received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Cincinnati and is pursuing a master’s degree in computer and information science at Cleveland State University.

Following a honeymoon in Bora Bora, the couple live in Willoughby.
