MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Da’Sean Butler scored 18 points to lead West Virginia. Cleveland State (5-4) forced 11 first-half turnovers to help claim a 21-14 lead. The Vikings held a 25-21 lead at halftime. But West Virginia (6-1) surged in the second half, claiming a 30-28 lead with 17:15 left in the game on a 3-pointer by Jonnie West. Devin Ebanks’ dunk with 11:55 remaining to put the Mountaineers ahead by seven points. Ebanks finished with 10 points and grabbed 17 rebounds for the Mountaineers. Norris Cole scored 12 points for Cleveland State.
Wis.-Milwaukee 66, Wright State 59
MILWAUKEE — James Eayrs scored 14 points and hit four 3-pointers to lead Milwaukee. Tone Boyle added 11 points for the Panthers (5-4, 2-0) and Tony Meier had 10, as Milwaukee won its second straight game. The winless Raiders (0-6, 0-2) were led by John David Gardner with 14 points and Cory Cooperwood with 12. Milwaukee has won 13 of its last 16 games against Wright State, including 10 in a row at home since 1998. Deonte Roberts scored with 3:52 remaining to put Milwaukee back on top 55-54. The Panthers closed out with an 11-5 run to seal the win.
Wisconsin-Green Bay 57, Detroit 46
GREEN BAY, Wis. — Troy Cotton scored 15 points and Terry Evans’ fast-break dunk highlighted Wisconsin-Green Bay’s victory. The Phoenix (5-2, 2-0 Horizon League) have won five straight games for the first time since the 2004-05 season. The Titans (2-5, 0-2), led by Thomas Kennedy’s nine points, have lost 17 consecutive road games and 16 straight at conference opponents.
