• YOUNGSTOWN — Eric Matthew Humphrey and his bride, the former Holly Lynn Pekalla, honeymooned on the Hawaiian islands of Oahu and Maui following their wedding on Aug. 2 at Good Hope Lutheran Church.

The Rev. Robert Quaintance officiated at the 2:30 p.m. ceremony for the daughter of Michael and Karen Pekalla, 145 Georgetown Place, Austintown, and the son of Duane Humphrey of Jamestown, Pa., and Michelle Hedrick of Austintown. Avion on the Water was the setting for a reception honoring the couple.

The bride’s ivory satin gown was enhanced with embroidered lace, crystals and a chapel train.

Dusty rose gowns were worn by Malinda Barton, the honor attendant, and the bridesmaids, Rachel Bell, Christina Pekalla, Brittany Barger, Ashlee Gollner, Jennifer Matzye, and Alaina Rauber. Flower girl was Lexis Bell.

Adam Kralka served as best man, and groomsmen were Jason Bell, Jason Pekalla, James Barnhart, Daniel Barton, Justin Haines, and Derrick Cunningham. Ring bearer was Quintin Bell, and ushers were Mathew Mack, Ricky Hedrick, and Steve Osborn.

The bride, an elementary intervention specialist with Jackson-Milton Schools in North Jackson, earned a bachelor’s degree in education from Youngstown State University. The groom graduated from YSU with a bachelor’s and is a police officer with Mill Creek MetroParks and a team leader at Sam’s Club in Niles.

The Humphreys live at 5117 Willowcrest Ave., Austintown.
