Family and friends help Bauns mark 70th anniversary

• PETERSBURG — Mr. and Mrs. David Baun, of Garfield Road, Petersburg, were honored recently by family and friends with a surprise party for their 70th wedding anniversary.

The party was hosted by their children, George and Lois Baun, Margie Schultz, Dottie and Tom Dobson, and Lonnie and Susan Baun. Rounding out the family are 10 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

Mrs. Baun is a homemaker, and Mr. Baun worked for NRM corporation for 47 years before retiring.

The Bauns are members of St. John Lutheran Church in Petersburg, where Mr. Baun is a Sunday school teacher.

The former Irma Ulbrick and Mr. Baun were married on Nov. 28, 1938.
