Sobriety checkpoint set up today until Saturday in Mahoning Co.

A sobriety checkpoint will be somewhere in Mahoning County from 11 p.m. today until 3 a.m. Saturday.

The Mahoning County Operating Vehicle Impaired Task Force will have a zero-tolerance approach for impaired drivers. There will be intensified enforcement throughout the holiday season.

The task force mission is to keep roadways safe by reducing alcohol and drug related crashes through public awareness and enforcement. The task force encourages responsible drinking and the use of sober designated drivers.
