Fire at vacant house considered arson


YOUNGSTOWN — A fire at a vacant house at 58 Tacoma Ave. was intentionally set, according to the fire department.

The flames started in a bathroom around 6:45 p.m. Thursday and went into the house’s attic, causing about $10,000 in damage, firefighters said. It took an hour to extinguish the fire. A firefighter suffered a minor injury to his face battling the blaze.
