Dinner show features the Seraphim Chorus
YOUNGSTOWN — Back by popular demand, The Seraphim Chorus will be featured in an old-time Christmas carol sing-a-long during a “Christmas at the Club” gala evening that will take place Thursday at the Youngstown Club, 201 E. Commerce St.
The public is invited to the event, which will begin with cocktails at 5 p.m. (cash bar available), followed by a sit-down dinner at 5:30; and the program at 7:30.
The cost for the dinner and the show is $42 per person (tax and gratuity not included). Reservations are required by Tuesday by calling (330) 744-2177.
Home Front meetings switched to Tuesdays
LEETONIA — Point Man’s Home Front division meetings for family members of veterans and active duty military will be moved to Tuesdays this month. Meetings are at 1 p.m. each Tuesday in December at Point Man’s LZ Refuge, 243 Main St.

Friends of museum schedules meeting
YOUNGSTOWN — Friends of the Historical Center of Industry and Labor, 151 W. Wood St., will meet at 5 p.m. Dec. 15 at the museum. The public is invited to attend the meeting or to join the cummunitywide committee. Dues are nominal.
The mission of the center is to preserve the industrial, labor, urban and ethnic heritage of Youngstown, the Mahoning Valley and the state of Ohio.
The center is a joint undertaking of the Ohio Historical Society and the state of Ohio, and with the assistance of Youngstown State University has played a key role as guardian of the industrial past of the Valley through exhibits, public programs, research and collections.
Leetonia F&AM installs officers
LEETONIA — Installation of officers for the coming season was on the agenda when the Leetonia Lodge of F&AM met Nov. 24 at the lodge hall.
Inducted were Gary Ronshausen Sr., master; Sean McCormick, senior warden; Jim Carliene, junior warden; Roy Hartman Jr., senior deacon; Roy Hartman Sr., junior deacon; Richard Sitler, treasurer; Jim Fiest, secretary/education officer; Gary Ronshausen Jr., chaplain; Michael Bryant, senior stewart; Brad Lankford, trustee; Howard Bodine, musician; and Robert Holt, marshall.
Installing officers were Gary Ronshausen Jr, Steve Ronshausen, Carl Deffenbaugh, and Robert Holt.
The Salem Commandery presented a tribute to the American flag, and a dinner was served in the reception hall.
Officers elected by garden club
YOUNGSTOWN — Immaculate Heart Garden Club elected Charlene Flesch president for the 2009 season at the Nov. 13 meeting. Chosen as her associate officers were Charlotte Frost, vice president; Mary Lozier, treasurer; and Mariann Hilderhoff, secretary.
Plans were finalized for a Christmas party, which will be at noon Thursday at the Upstairs Lounge.
