West Side fire started by pot left unattended on the stove

YOUNGSTOWN — A pot left unattended on the stove at 419 Glacierview Drive on the West Side started a fire around 10:45 p.m. Wednesday, the fire department said. No injuries were reported.

The fire was confined to the stove and microwave above it. Firefighters ventilated the home of smoke, which was mainly on the first floor. Damage was estimated at $4,500.
