Man in fair condition after being hit by car
AUSTINTOWN — One man was taken to the hospital after he rode his bicycle into the path of a car.
Just after noon on Wednesday, 61-year-old James Osso, of Youngstown, was hit as he crossed Mahoning Avenue.
Lt. Bryan Kloss said the driver, Lindsay Salen, 19, of Austintown, was traveling south on Meridian Road, when Osso rode out in front of her at the intersection of Meridian and Mahoning.
Osso was taken to St. Elizabeth’s Health Center in Youngstown. As of Thursday, he was in fair condition.
Salen was not injured.
