Bingo to benefit residents

GUILFORD LAKE — A special bingo night has been scheduled at Guilford Lake Ruritan Hall, state Route 172, to create a Christmas fund that will benefit residents of Sunrise Homes.

Early bird play will begin at 7 p.m. Friday, and there will be door prizes and lunch.

Workshop for children

BOARDMAN — Pat Catan’s Craft Center, 6151 South Ave., is inviting youngsters to take part in a Secret Santa Workshop from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Boys and girls will have the opportunity to make gifts for parents, teachers, friends, or relatives during the event. The workshop is a free holiday event for children.

Shepherd of the Valley plans festival of wreaths

BOARDMAN — Shepherd of the Valley residents, families, staff and area businesses are creating wreaths that will be hung throughout Shepherd of the Valley-Boardman. Through Dec. 9 the public is invited to go to SOV, 7148 West Blvd., to bid on a wreath. The silent auction will culminate at the Festival of Wreaths Open House, from 5:30-8 p.m. Dec. 9. The open house will spotlight the new private rehab rooms and newly remodeled and enlarged therapy gym. Area restaurants, including the Das Dutch Haus and Mocha House-Boardman, will provide food stations during the event, which will also include strolling carolers from area churches and schools. Santa to have breakfast at Greenford church

GREENFORD — Adults and children are invited to have breakfast with Santa from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday at Greenford Christian Church, 11767 Lisbon Road. The cost is $6 for adults and $4 for children.

There is no charge for children to have their pictures taken with Santa, and they will receive free goody bags. There will be an auction for such items as Elmo Live, bicycles and gift baskets.
