GIRARD
Nov. 29
Theft: The seal to a trailer in the 1200 block of South State Street had been broken. Stolen were several boxes of toys.
Criminal damaging: A Girard boy in the 100 block of East Wilson Avenue saw that someone had slashed all the tires on his car, spray-painted several windows and scratched the quarter panels and other areas. Damage came to about $3,000.
Nov. 30
Theft: A Youngstown woman, 20, was charged, accused of stealing a bottle of shampoo, two Christmas figurines and baby clothing from Family Dollar, 900 N. State St.
Dec. 1
Breaking and entering: A girl returned to her East Prospect Street residence and saw someone run past her inside the home. Nothing appeared to have been stolen, though.
Assault: Police responded to a fight near Kline Street, where a 17-year-old Girard boy said a younger teen had struck him. The accuser was not injured.
Dec. 2
Criminal damaging: A Lawrence Avenue man discovered someone had poured sugar into his vehicle’s gas tank, causing $500 worth of damage.
Theft: A Girard man reported the keys to his truck stolen while he was in the 300 block of South Market Street.
Dec. 3
Breaking and entering: A door was discovered ajar after someone entered Showcase Outlet Inc., 600 N. State St., though nothing seemed to be missing.

Nov. 27
Arrest: Authorities picked up a Youngstown woman, 27, at the Mahoning County Jail on a warrant from Liberty charging her with failure to appear in court.
Identity fraud: Someone apparently pretending to be a Struthers woman wrote a $258.37 check for parts at a Belmont Avenue auto service center.
Nov. 28
Arrest: Officers received a tip about a wanted person and arrested the 24-year-old Girard man on Logan Arms Drive. He was wanted on a felony warrant from Geauga County.
Nov. 29
Arrest: A traffic stop near state Route 193 led to a Niles man, 45, being taken into custody on a warrant from the county.
Nov. 30
Arrest: Howland police turned over a 35-year-old Youngstown woman wanted on a warrant from the township.
Dec. 1
Theft: A Vienna woman found out someone had entered her vehicle while she visited a Belmont Avenue store and took 135 prescription tablets.
Possible theft: A Monticello Boulevard woman reported placing a piece of mail in an unsecured basket in her apartment building and finding out it had never been delivered.

Nov. 28
Theft: An East Liberty Street man found out his bank card had been stolen and used without authorization.
Nov. 29
Arrest: A warrant was issued for a township woman on a charge of failure to appear in court on a charge of obstruction and attending a violation-of-probation hearing.
Nov. 30
Theft: Girard Municipal Court issued a warrant for a Hubbard man wanted on a charge of failing to appear to face a theft count.
Theft: An East Park Avenue woman accused her brother of taking her cell phone. The phone was returned.
Criminal damaging: Someone deliberately drove over part of a lawn in the 100 block of Moore Street.
Dec. 1
Criminal damaging: A man checked on property he owns in the 50 block of Mackey Street and noticed a front window broken.
Theft: A man in the 600 block of Saul Drive reported the theft of a credit card.
Dec. 2
Truck theft: Officers charged a Hubbard man with theft of a motor vehicle, a fourth-degree felony, after a Caroline Avenue man reported his 1993 Dodge Dakota stolen.
Theft: A Hubbard bank teller reported cashing a check later discovered to have been stolen in Brookfield.
