Arson today destroys North Side home

YOUNGSTOWN — A deliberately set fire at 1514 Kensington Ave. at 3 a.m. today destroyed the vacant North Side house, the fire department said.

The first and second floors were on fire, with the second-floor bath tub barely suspended on joists, when firefighters arrived. Damage was set at $10,000, a total loss, and demolition recommended.
