Wednesday's Best Bets on TV


“Secret Millionaire” (8 p.m., Fox): In these tough times, a lot of us could use a “Secret Millionaire.” It’s a reality series in which an ultra-wealthy person goes undercover in a poor neighborhood. Eventually, he or she awards a pile of cash to deserving residents.

“Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” (8 p.m., CBS): Yes, we’ve all seen it a million times, but somehow Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer still maintains his magic. And we’re thinking that, yes, Bumbles still do bounce.

“Grammy Nominations Live: Countdown to Music’s Biggest Night” (9 p.m., CBS): The “Grammy Nominations Live: Countdown to Music’s Biggest Night” is a blatant attempt to build buzz for February’s awards fest. The show features announcements of this year’s nominations and performances by, among others, Celine Dion, the Foo Fighters, B.B. King, John Mayer and Taylor Swift.

“Christmas in Rockefeller Center” (8 p.m., NBC): Break out the eggnog and park your tail on the couch. For many, the Christmas season doesn’t really start until they light up the big ol’ tree in the Big Apple. Al Roker hosts this year’s telecast, which is bolstered with illuminating performances from the likes of Beyonc , Tony Bennett, the Jonas Brothers, Harry Connick Jr., David Cook, Faith Hill and Rascal Flatts. It’s all broadcast in high definition to provide some extra sparkle.
