Youngstown police investigating shooting of two men on South Side

YOUNGSTOWN—Two men who were shot in the parking lot behind the Coconut Grove at 3229 South Ave., are listed in critical condition at St. Elizabeth Health Center.

Robert Mills, 38, and Matthew Cunningham, 41, both of Youngstown, were shot at about 7:30 p.m. Monday by one or more unidentified people. One witness said was on the people was driving an older-model white Cadillac.

The Detroit Avenue resident said she looked out of her side window to see the victims standing next to Cunningham’s car in the back parking lot of Coconut Grove.

She said she then saw the white Cadillac drive past the men slowly and open fire. The car then sped away east on Lucius Avenue.
