2 men shot behind bar on South Side

YOUNGSTOWN — Two men were shot at about 7:30 p.m. Monday in the parking lot behind the Coconut Grove at 3229 South Ave.

Police said the victims, whose names they were not released, were taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center’s emergency department for treatment. Late Monday, one was listed in critical condition and the other in stable condition.

Police said no motive for the shootings was known and they have no suspect. And, as of Monday night, no witnesses to the shootings had come forward.

Detectives had not released a report on the shooting late Monday and further details were not available.
