Worker at Austintown convenience store robbed at gunpoint

AUSTINTOWN — An employee of a North Canfield-Niles Road convenience store reported being robbed at gunpoint early today.

The employee of Country Fair told police that a man came into the store about 3:50 a.m., looked around and then asked if the store sold beer. The employee told him they did but could not sell any until 6 a.m.

The man then pulled out a handgun and said, “Give me all the money, youngster.” The employee gave him money from the register and the man left the store. The employee then called police.
