• BOARDMAN — The marriage of Marie Russo, a daughter of Maureen Scott of Youngstown and Ron and Joann Russo of Poland, and Jared Rupert, a son of Michael and Bonnie Lizotte of Boardman, was solemnized by the Rev. Bob Quaintance at 3:30 p.m. June 7 at Good Hope Lutheran Church.

The couple accepted congratulations during a reception at The Embassy in Struthers before leaving for a honeymoon in Sarasota, Fla. Upon return, they live in Boardman.

The bride’s strapless white luster satin gown was enhanced with claret trimming, pearls, crystals and sequins. It featured a lace-up corset back and semicathedral train.

Black gowns with red accents were worn by the honor attendants, Melissa and Margaret Russo, and red gowns with black accents were worn by the bridesmaids, Gretchen Hill; Janie and Jillian Lizotte; Julie Gulu; Tristan and Justine Ula; Andrea Russo; and MacKenzie Elias. Flower girls were Gracie and Samantha Logan.

Matt White and Tommy Fiscus shared the duties of best man, and groomsmen were Rocky Russo, Jon-Paul Lizotte, William Hill, Shawn Carison, Jason Cannistra, Mike Burnett, Joey Irwin, and Josh Fellows. Ring bearer was Stone Elias, and ushers were Donny Anderson and Jason Emler.

Mrs. Rupert, a teacher at For Kid’s Sake Preschool, is pursuing a degree in early childhood education at Youngstown State University.

Mr. Rupert is a steelworker with Tube City IMS in Midland, Pa.
