SENIOR CITIZENS


CORNERSBURG - Cornersburg Happy Seniors will meet at 11 a.m. Thursday at Blue Wolf Banquet and Catering on Tippecanoe Road with Linda Wiland Presiding. The cost for the dinner is $11.50. The speaker will be Judge Mark Belinky of Mahoning County Probate Court. Greeters will be Dorothy Wood and Carolyn Steiner. Illnesses should be reported to Eleanor Zuby, (330) 799-7127. FREETIMERS

• Youngstown State University Retirees will meet for a monthly breakfast at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Denny’s Restaurant, state Route 224, Boardman. All retirees and friends are welcome.

GIRARD

• Girard Senior Citizens will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the senior center. After the business meeting the group will join in a period of remembrance. Each person will bring a list of businesses that used to be in Girard. Examples are Isaly’s or Meusers Shoes.

LOWELLVILLE SENIORS

• A meeting of Lowellville Senior Citizens will be at noon Friday at the conference room of Lowellville City Hall. Delores Romeo will preside. Reservations are to be made with Janet Davanzo at (330) 793-3176. A macaroni and meatball lunch will be provided by Phyllis Nolfi of Gianno Catering. St. Nicholas

• St. Nicholas Senior Citizens will have a luncheon meeting at 11 a.m. Sept. 9 at Father Petric Social Hall, with La Verne Cox presiding. Reservations are required for the luncheon, and they can be made until Tuesday by sending a check for $7.50, made out to St. Nicholas Seniors, and mailed to Lora Opsitnik, 138 Iroquois St., Struthers OH 44471. New members are welcome.

• REAC 2172 meets Thursday at the Eagles Hall, Wilson Ave.

ST. CHARLES

• St. Charles Over 55 Club will have the first meeting of the new season at noon Sept. 9 in the social hall. Dues will be collected and new members welcomed. • St. Christine Seniors will meet at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the parish center, with Ruth Infante presiding. SBlt Bridge, 500, chess and checkers will be played when Martha Lupse 50-Plus Card and Game Club meets from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Room 106 at Poland United Methodist Church.
