BOARDMAN — The Network Council of Mahoning Valley, representing four chapters of the American Business Women’s Association, is sponsoring its annual fall fashion preview, “Holiday Wonderland,” Sept. 21 at Mr. Anthony’s in Boardman.

Doors will open at 12:30 p.m. for a Chinese auction featuring such items as a handmade Amish quilt, and an Amish cedar chest filled with linens and other items. A luncheon will be served at 2 p.m. and Cody of Shooting Star Mobile DJs will serve as master of ceremonies.

Area celebrities, the Woman of the Year from each of the four chapters, and ABWA scholarship recipients will model the latest in fall fashions, which will be provided by Dillard’s at the Southern Park Mall.

During the event Pecchia’s Salon and Day Spa and Clinique at Dillard’s will create extreme makeovers for two women. There will also be a Split the Pot raffle.

Tickets for the event are $25 each and can be purchased until Sept. 12 by contacting Mary Lou Murray at (330) 533-8730. Proceeds will support the education funds of each chapter and be used to provide college scholarships for area students and opportunities for member education.

ABWA was incorporated in 1949, and strives to bring together businesswomen of diverse occupations and to provide opportunities for them to grow personally and professionally through leadership, education, networking, support, and national recognition. In 1983, President Ronald Reagan proclaimed Sept. 22 as American Business Women’s Day.
