Ohio State running back Chris "Beanie" Wells returned from the locker room with about 11 minutes remaining in the game, wearing a protective boot on his right foot. His status was not immediately known.

The Penguins got another first down early in the fourth quarter … and crossed midfield for the first time all day. On the very next play Ohio State's Tyler Moeller snapped Ferlando Williams back to the 50.

Early in the third quarter Ohio State running back Chris "Beanie" Wells was helped off the field with a foot or ankle injury, bringing a hush to the 105,011 in attendance. That pushed Warren Harding graduate Dan "Boom" Herron into a possible starting role next weekend against Ohio.

YSU had one first down in the first half — by penalty. The Penguins picked up their first first down by rushing or passing early in the second half, but the Buckeyes are driving, ahead 26-0.
