Man with handgun disarmed at Obama rally in Beaver

BEAVER, Pa. – A swarm of U.S. Secret Service agents, Pennsylvania State Police and local police swiftly apprehended and disarmed a man who carried a fully-loaded, holstered and exposed handgun Friday evening at the Obama-Biden presidential campaign rally here.

John A. Noble of Industry, Pa., was apprehended at 7:20 p.m. at 3rd and Market streets after civilians attending the rally notified authorities of the man’s presence, state police said.

Noble breached the security perimeter, “created a clear public alarm,” and caused several security posts to be abandoned in response to the disturbance, police said.

State police said they’ll file misdemeanor charges against Noble.
