Youngstown State-Ohio state Notebook

TV coverage: The YSU-OSU game will be televised nationally on the Big Ten network, which will be available starting Saturday on Time Warner on Channel 77 (basic tier) and Channel 333 (digital). It is also available in high definition on Channel 433. The game is on Direct TV Channel 610 and is available in HD. On Cox, it will be on Channel 62 (regular) and 724 (HD). It is also available on the internet at www.bigtennetwork.com. Clear Channel Radio will have broadcasts from both schools’ radio broadcast teams. YSU’s broadcast is on WKBN 570. OSU’s is on WNIO 1390 AM, WBBG 106.1 FM and Sirius Satellite Radio Channel 123. YSU’s Web site, www.YSUsports.com, will carry a link to WKBN’s broadcast. The game will also air at the Canfield Fair at the main concourse. Time Warner will offer an additional Big Ten Network channel that will air out-of-market games when an in-market game is on at the same time. This Saturday’s out-of-market game is Akron-Wisconsin, which also starts at noon on 334.

OSU safety sidelined: Ohio State’s starting strong safety, Kurt Coleman, will likely miss Saturday’s game because of an ankle injury suffered in practice this week. Coleman, a junior from Dayton, was the Buckeyes’ third-leading tackler a year ago. His replacement Saturday would be Jermale Hines. Coleman’s absence adds to a shortage of players in the secondary. Starting cornerback Donald Washington and backup safety Jamario O’Neal are serving two-game suspensions for breaking unspecified team rules. Eugene Clifford, a backup safety, left the team over the summer after being disciplined last year. Another defensive back, sophomore James Scott, was not one of the 105 players invited to preseason camp, again for an unspecified reason.
