• POLAND — The Aug. 2 wedding of Renee K. Baird and Matthew D. Smail, both of Austintown, took place at 2:30 p.m. at New Life Assembly of God and was followed by an evening reception at Shangri-La in Canfield.

The daughter of Todd Baird of Boardman and Kim Baird of Poland, and the son of Donald and Phyllis Smail of Austintown were united in marriage by the Rev. Bob Donato.

The bride’s halter-style ball gown was enhanced with a beaded overlay.

The groom’s sister and honor attendant, Heather Smail of Austintown, wore a lilac gown, as did the bridesmaids, Samantha Hanna of Orlando, Fla., and Michelle Metzer of Medina, cousins of the bride; and Tammy Mraz of Canfield; and the junior bridesmaids, Randi Roof of Canfield, her cousin, and Hailey Felger of New Middletown. Flower girl was Gabriella Felger of New Middletown.

Anthony Dobozy of Campbell served as best man, and groomsmen were Joshua Smail of Austintown, a brother of the groom, Todd Baird Jr., the bride’s brother, and Ethan Gent, a cousin of the groom, both of Boardman. Ring bearer was the groom’s nephew, Jacob Smail of Austintown.

Mrs. Smail is the manager at Telischah Co. in Boardman and is pursuing a degree in finance at Youngstown State University.

Mr. Smail is an operator with Reinnovations Contracting in Mineral Ridge.

They live in Austintown.
