Junior women plan open house picnic

BOARDMAN — Boardman Poland Junior Women’s League has scheduled its semiannual picnic open house for Sept. 8 at the Georgeanna Park Center in Boardman Township Park. The event will be part of the club’s general “Welcome Back” meeting at 6:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. dinner.

Members are asked to take a covered dish for the picnic and school supplies to be donated to a local school.

The junior league is open to women over 18 who live in Mahoning, Trumbull, or Columbiana counties and are interested in friendship, fun, and community involvement. It gives women an opportunity to provide community service in areas of arts, conservation, education, home life, international affairs, and public affairs.

Women interested in joining the organization or wishing more information should call Ann Marie Brogan, (330) 707-0090, or send name, address and phone number to BP JWL, Membership chairwoman, P.O. Box 3412, Boardman, OH 44512.
