• American Legion Post 290, state Route 14, Columbiana, has its kitchen open to the public from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and daily specials are; today, wings; Thursday, chicken or steak salads; Friday, fish; and Saturday, tuna melt sandwiches. A car cruise will be featured on the Sept. 3 wings night.
THURSDAY
SBltCol. Louis J. Campbell VFW Post 3538, 157 Lowellville Road, Struthers, will sell spaghetti dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Meals will be served with meatballs, salad, bread and butter, and coffee. Cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children under 8. Carryout orders are $6.50 and will be available only until 6 p.m. Containers will be provided.
FRIDAY
• Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $9 for adults and $4.50 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at (330) 792-1005.
• St. Anthony Church, 1125 Turin Ave., Youngstown, will sell pizza and other Italian treats. Orders may be placed by calling (330) 746-9577 from 6:30 to 10:30 a.m. and must be picked up by 1 p.m. Friday.
SATURDAY
• North Lima Mennonite Church, 90 Mennonite Drive, will sponsor a breakfast buffet from 7 to 10 a.m. The all-you-can-eat meal will feature eggs, pancakes, french toast, potatoes, sausage, fruits, juice and coffee. A donation will be accepted. For more information, call (330) 549-2333.
• Southington American Legion Post 751, 3145 Warren Burton Road, Southington, will serve barbecued chicken dinners from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Donations are $8 for adults and $5 for children under 12. Meals include half a chicken, baked potato, green beans, coleslaw, beverages and dessert.

• Christ Lutheran Church, 250 Sexton St., Struthers, has planned an all-you-can eat Amish chicken and roast beef dinner for Sept. 13. with seatings available from 4 to 5:30 or 5:30 to 7 p.m. Reservations are required. No tickets will be sold at the door. The donation is $12 for adults and $6 for children 10 and under. Those 3 and under eat free. Meals include stuffing, real mashed potatoes, gravy, homemade bread, green beans, coleslaw, butterscotch date pudding, and a variety of pies. • Poland United Methodist Church, 1940 Boardman Poland Road, Poland, will have take-out dinners available from 4 to 6 p.m. (or until sold out) the first Thursday of each month. The cost is $6. No need to preorder or get out of the car. Just drive to the front of the church and your meal of baked stuffed chicken breast, mashed potatoes and green beans will be ready.
