DENVER — The Denver Art Museum is getting ready for conventioneers with a digital exhibit of political posters.

The Democratic National Convention takes place in the Mile-High City Monday through Thursday.

Digital images of designs created for a “Get Out the Vote” campaign sponsored by the professional design association AIGA will be on display in the museum’s lobby throughout August. AIGA was founded in 1914 as the American Institute of Graphic Arts.

The museum will offer free admission on Monday to conventioneers and anyone else interested in visiting that day.

Titanic artifacts on display in Georgia

ATLANTA — An exhibition of artifacts from the ill-fated ocean liner R.M.S. Titanic is opening at the Georgia Aquarium.

The exhibition will include interactive displays, videos and recreations of rooms aboard the ship.

The Titanic sank on its maiden voyage across the Atlantic Ocean in 1912.

More than 190 artifacts recovered from the area where the ship sank will be put on display.

The exhibition will tell a chronological story of life aboard the ship.

The exhibitor, RMS Titanic, has conducted seven search and recovery expeditions to the ship’s wreckage.

Craft beers available at third NY Brewfest

NEW YORK — More than 100 breweries will be offering samples of their craft beers at the third annual NY Brewfest, scheduled for Sept. 12 at South Street Seaport (piers 16 and 17) from 5 to 10 p.m.

Tickets, which cost $50, can be purchased at www.nybrewfest.com or at any of Heartland Brewery’s five New York City locations.

The event sold out its first two years, said the organizers.

Live music is also part of the program.

20th annual event offers Taste of Newport

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. — The Taste of Newport food and wine event celebrates its 20th anniversary this year with tastings and performances Sept. 19-21 at Fashion Island.

The event showcases dishes from 30 Newport restaurants and 15 wineries, with classic rock from Styx on Sept. 20 and reggae from UB40 on Sept. 21.

Newport Beach is located between Los Angeles and San Diego.

S.C. Web site created for small wireless devices

CHARLESTON, S.C. — If you’re heading for a South Carolina getaway, there’s a new way to get information while you are on the way.

The state Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism has launched two new Web sites for people with smart phones and handheld devices.

The sites provide information about events, lodging, shopping, dining and state parks without all the maps, photos and graphics of the department’s main Web sites.

The new sites are www.DiscoverSouthCarolina.mobi and www.SouthCarolinaParks.mobi.
